St Andrew's Primary School is one of four Catholic Primary Schools in the Parish of St Andrew's Werribee, in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Records from the Catholic Historical Society indicate that a Catholic School was operating in the Wyndham area in 1868, however it was not until 1908 that a Catholic School was established in the church. The Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart were invited to take over the running of the School in 1910, a role they undertook until 2004. At St Andrew's School we aim to live the gospel and to value our faith, a faith that calls us to serve our community, acknowledging we are all equal learning participants, with a sense of Church as God's people. These values are symbolised in our school motto-'Live Love Learn'. The school is strongly committed to the pastoral care of our students. We provide many opportunities for young people to participate in a wide range of curricular and co-curricular activities including camps in Years 4, 5 & 6 and inter-school sporting events. The school's facilities include recently refurbished classrooms, technology lab, library and a multi-purpose Sports Centre. Our parent community is closely involved with class and school activities.
