Tooradin Primary School has a strong focus upon the core academic subjects of English and Maths. The English areas of Reading, Writing and Spelling are key areas of emphasis. These areas are extremely important in the early years of school as many students enter school with limited literacy skills. It also emphasises the importance of student well-being with a strong whole school values and social skills program. All student learning styles are taken into consideration to ensure the needs and capabilities of all students are being met. There are many varied and diverse extra curricula activities to engage and provide motivation for students to achieve success. The school has a well resourced and strong commitment to the development and integration of Information and Communications Technology across the curriculum. It provides 75 notebooks for student use, combined with a computer room and specialist ICT teacher to provide a flexible learning program designed to meet each student's individual needs. There is a strong partnership between parents and staff, with a high level of parent participation and support. The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program has promoted strong parental support and offered integrated learning opportunites for VELS curriculum areas, Personal and Interpersonal Learning. Tooradin Primary School offers its 246 students a caring and stimulating environment with 11 classes. There are16 teaching and 11 Education Support staff that engages each student with the skills and knowledge to achieve their personal best.
