Boronia West Primary School is committed to continuous improvement in Teaching and Learning. The Effective Schools Model is the school's vision. We endeavour to provide quality learning programs in all curriculum areas and use all available assessment tools (For, of & As) to particularly inform development in Math and English. Our programs are designed for high expectations for all students. The school has 17 staff; 2 Principal Class officers, 12 teachers and 3 Education Support Staff. Extension programs, both within and beyond our school are provided. We have a strong commitment to the development and integration of I.C.T. across the school to provide exciting and flexible learning programs through the resourcing of ICT lab computers and computers within every classroom. These programs are designed to engage and support students' individual learning needs and equip every student with ICT skills to enable them to assimilate into an ever changing society of the 21st Century. The partnership between parents and staff is strong and mutually supportive with a high level of participation on the School Council and the Parent Association. Parent helpers assist in classroom and specialist programs emphasising the connection between school and home. Boronia West Primary School offers its 180 students an environment that has undergone major works to improve and extend school infrastructure. The new BER Multi-purpose room is complete with Performing Arts and Physical education classes operating in this facility
