Bimbadeen Heights PS has an ethos where excellence is encouraged and diversity is embraced. We aim to provide each child with the opportunity to develop to their full potential intellectually, socially and personally in an environment that reflects our school values of respect, fairness, compassion, understanding and honesty. The community works together to provide a challenging, successorientated program for all students. Our strong parent-school partnership gives rise to a co-operative school culture which is enhanced by a spirit of mutual respect. Commitment to continuous improvement in quality teaching and learning is reflected in teacher PD programs. An extensive variety of teaching skills is used to cater for the different learning styles of students. We maximize the learning potential of each student through extension and support programs catering for the full range of individual differences. Specialist programs are offered in Music, PE, Art, Library and LOTE (German). The school is committed to meeting the current and future needs of our students and in developing global citizenship. We use the Digital Excellence program to support ICT that is integrated into classroom practice via computers in each classroom, a school-wide computer network and 20 Interactive Whiteboards. BHPS is located within a residential area of Mooroolbark in the outer east of Melbourne. The enrolment of over 610 students is accommodated in 28 classrooms plus specialist areas. We have 44.4 EFT staff, 3 Principal class, 34.3 teachers and 7.01EFT Education Support staff.
