Evanston Gardens Primary School is a small school situated approximately 5km from the centre of Gawler. Our school motto, 'Learning today for tomorrow's community', reflects our belief that children should develop a sense of worth, self-confidence and respect for others, so that they can become responsible individuals in society. As such, our school priorities are literacy, numeracy, science and student well-being. Further, we have not lost sight of the prime purpose of education, which is the development of the human intellect in all its dimensions - academic, social, cultural, moral, emotional and physical. Parental involvement and support for the school continues to grow. Parents are well-represented through the governing council, breakfast club, library, various committees and our Learning Assistance Program (LAP). The school is involved in a DECS initiated pilot scheme to run a play centre in the Evanston Gardens Progress Hall, located next to the school grounds. The play centre caters for 0 to 4 year old children from our local area.
