Hampstead Primary School provides quality teaching and care for children in engaging indoor and outdoor spaces. Our vision of 'Happy, safe children supported to achieve their potential through quality learning experiences and collaborative trusting relationships' is underpinned by the values of respect, care and personal growth. We have high expectations and focus on developing skills that support lifelong learning. We have effective processes and support systems to raise individual student achievement. These, coupled with skilled teachers and quality learning programs, provide opportunities for all children to achieve their best. We utilise the 'Accelerated Literacy' framework and ensure children think mathematically and creatively to use their knowledge and skills to solve mathematic problems. We are part of the 'Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden' program. Additionally, we have an inclusive student voice and leadership program, environmental program, strong arts focus, and daily fitness and PE skill development. We hold a Premier's award for Outstanding Community Achievement and the 2007 International Children's Week Play award.
