Renmark Primary School's vision is to have students applying the knowledge and skills they are developing to a variety of situations, so that they can be successful, active members of a supportive, innovative and enterprising community. Our school values are Respect, Resilience, Valuing Knowing and Persistence. We are an accredited international school and our school community includes 17 different cultures. We have a New Arrivals Program (recent focus on Afghani and Indian students) and a district special class for years 3 to 7. We provide bilingual support lessons once per week for students with a home language of Turkish, Punjabi or Ngarrindjeri. Our school priorities are literacy, information and communication technology, numeracy as well as staff and student wellbeing (we have a Christian pastoral support worker). We focus on wellbeing for learning and operate under 'The Circle of Courage' model where students' skills, practice and attributes in belonging, generosity, independence and mastery are paramaount to achieveing successful learning outcomes. Students have the opportunity to be involved in 20 sports, a student representative council, instrumental music, choir and Greek dancing. We host the Riverland 'Jump Rope' team and are involved in many community activities. Our school promotes healthy eating through the Eat Well Be Active program and we take pride in our established vegetable garden, where students grow, harvest and cook produce. Our school is co-located with a preschool and and high school and we work together to implement Year 2 -3 and Year 7-8 transition programs. Our whole-school programs are Accelerated Literacy, Maths (Big Ideas in Number) and Science - Primary Connections. Renmark Primary School has undergone major changes recently through the Australian Government's Building the Education Revolution funding. We offer a wonderful learning environment and are well supported by families and the community.
