At Willsden Primary School, staff and students are committed to improved literacy and numeracy achievement. Our professional learning in guided reading and early intervention has created staff expertise. We focus on the positive contributions made by all students, celebrating success with lunchtime discos, computer challenges and an after-school games room. The school founded in 1954, is located in Pt Augusta, approx. 3.5 hours north of Adelaide. Students demonstrate goodwill and care towards each other, with students of all ages prepared to play with and encourage each other. Families perceive our school as a small community-based learning environment in which everyone knows and looks after each other. To stimulate engagement, the school has innovative programs including a flight club, clay animation and wheelies group where children have their academic curriculum extended.
