Daylesford Secondary College is the only provider of secondary education in the shire of Hepburn and strives to provide a curriculum that meets a broad range of individual needs and pathways. The college is proud of its extensive extra-curricula programs and continues to provide a vast selection of VCE and VCAL options. Our College Vision of "One School, Endless Opportunties" provides a clear insight into our purpose of enabling every student to reach their full academic, vocational, personal and social potential. Daylesford Secondary College also commits itself to the provision of a comprehensive, engaging, challenging and creative learning environment, with a clear focus on the development of Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT skills and capabilties for all within our College Community. We aim to equip young people for life and lifelong learning, to develop positive home-school partnerships, to value diversity of individuality, to strengthen community connections and to promote healthy lifestyles. Daylesford Secondary College maintains an enrolment around 500 students. The staffing profile in 2010 consisted of a total teaching EFT of 35.9 comprising the principal an 46 teachers plus 13 ES Staff. Our College community eagerly awaits the development of Stage 2 Building Futures Program to complete a total rebuild and provide modern and futuristic facilities to our students and community. The college is entering the final year of its current Strategic Plan, and looks forward in 2011 to evaluating our practices and achievements and developing our new Strategic Plan for 2012-2015.
