An outstanding co-educational College in the southern suburbs Somerville Baptist College commenced in 1999, founded and presided over by a College board. Embracing the College motto of Faith, Wisdom and Courage, students are encouraged to develop a love of learning and search for truth. Initiative, self-discipline and self-esteem for each individual are fostered along with an awareness of the personal existence of God. A high standard of private education is offered within a strong framework of pastoral care and discipline. Year 9 students are streamed in Maths and Science subjects with extension classes for the top students across all core subjects.
