Woodvale SHS is located 20 kilometres north of Perth, is extensively resourced and has approximately 1500 students and 110 teaching staff with a high number of very experienced classroom teachers, many of whom are trained in innovative teaching and learning techniques. Strong community ties are evidenced by the full adherence to the school's dress code, a highly engaged Parents and Citizens' group and a proactive School Council. The school has extended opportunities for students by developing an Asian Awareness learning program with 'Sister School' relationships with schools in China and Japan. The school also enjoys very strong links with the City of Joondalup who promote academic, cultural and sporting achievements and sponsor many sporting, cultural and academic events. Academically, Woodvale students perform in the top 25% of students in the state with state, national and international testing reinforcing the high quality of academic success the school enjoys.
