Clayton View Primary School was planned and constructed in 2003, in response to the amalgamation of Bellevue and Koongamia Primary Schools, and officially opened October 2004. It is located at the base of the Darling Scarp within the Swan Education District. It has a stream running along the northern boundary and a community oval immediately east of the school. The school has been built with special energy saving features, including skylights, high ceilings, electrical timers and native gardens. Students at the school participate in specialist programs in Science, Physical Education and Indonesian. Sport programs operate for students from years 1 to 7. The school has an outstanding Information and Communication Technologies program. All classrooms are equipped with computers, through both fibre optic cabling and wireless communication, and have access to the internet and interactive whiteboards. We have a fulltime Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Officer to provide support for the indigenous students and parents. The commitment of the staff, the positive support of parents and the enthusiasm of students all combine to ensure a strong community school relationship.
