Coromandel Valley Primary School is set in the hills overlooking Adelaide where it is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. The school has a strong focus on environmental education, learning technologies, the International Baccalaureate Primary and Middle Years Programs, literacy, 'jolly phonics', numeracy and science. Our vision is to develop global learners in a caring community. We strive to make a positive difference in the lives of our children by challenging them to inquire and develop a deeper understanding about the world in which they live. We achieve this through fostering intercultural awareness and emphasising the values of the learner profile. We are a large sporting school with about 26 sports teams, a strong performing arts program and our 'National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy' results are among the highest in Australia. Activities to enhance student learning include 'Jump Rope', 'Pedal Prix', environmental activities, dance, instrumental music, Wakakirri and choir. Student support includes a Christian Pastoral Support Worker, a special needs program, buddy classes and a Student Representative Council.
