The motto of Roseworthy Primary School is 'Together we learn, together we grow.' This is reflected in our approach to teaching and learning the curriculum. The school is situated close to urban areas but retains its rural nature, which is seen as an asset by the school community. While students are primarily from our local community there is an increasing number from a wider area. Roseworthy Primary School provides learning in all areas of the Reception to Year 7 curriculum. There is a current focus on literacy, numeracy and science, and Japanese is taught as our language other than English subject. Composite classes exist across all year levels. The school aims to skill students for their future. Information and communication technology(ICT) is an important component in all learning areas. Student well-being is a key focus. The school is an asthma-friendly site and a Sun Smart school. It is also participating in phase 2 of the Eat Well Be Active program. Parent involvement in assisting and supporting classroom activities is a strength. The work of the governing council ensures there is wide community participation and consultation in future planning.
