Avondale State School is situated 32km North of Bundaberg in a rural setting and provides education for Prep to Year 7 students. Currently two teachers and two teacher aides are employed. Students travel to school by bus from the rural homes, and by car or walk from the local village, which has a population of about 120 citizens. The school has an active Parents and Citizens Association supporting the school with resources and school activities. The local community is proud of the school and is interested in and supportive of school events.
