Urquhart Park Primary School community has a shared goal of providing for all aspects of each child's academic, social, physical and emotional development to ensure that each child becomes the best he/she can be. We aim to develop tolerant, resilient students with skills and attributes for lifelong learning. Our beliefs as a school are based on the Six Pillars of Character, namely fairness, respect, trustworthiness, responsibility, caring and citizenship. At Urquhart Park Primary School, we provide opportunities for all children to engage in a range of specialist areas including LOTE, Physical Education, Art and Music. We offer our students a number of academic, artistic and sporting extra-curricular activities such as student leadership, sporting teams, arts projects, band, debating, LOTE club and Tech club as well as participation in interschool competitions. Our school provides accelerated learning classes in the areas of literacy and numeracy as well as a range of support programs for children with special educational or behavioural needs. Our new buildings, completed this year, add to our capacity to provide 21st century teaching and learning and include the integration of learning technologies. Our teachers are dedicated and skilful in providing differentiated learning opportunities and work with parents and students with a philosophy of continuous improvement. Currently, Urquhart Park Primary School has an enrolment of 351 and is a vibrant community In 2010, we had an enrolment of 342 with 19.8 FTE teaching staff, 2 Principal class officers and 4.5FTE support staff.
