Narrawong District Primary School was established in 1994. The school was formed following the merger of Narrawong East Primary School (est. 1887) and the Narrawong Primary School (est. 1863). The school offers a comprehensive education based upon the belief that all children have academic, social, emotional and physical needs that can be met in a supportive environment. Cooperation between home and school is of prime importance and is developed through mutual trust, respect and clear communication. We strive to have our parents, teachers and community members actively involved in our students' learning. Our school nurtures a safe and caring atmosphere where children develop a sense of responsibility towards each other. NDPS provides a sequential and inclusive curriculum covering all Strands and Domains of VELS. Throughout the delivery of the curriculum, we foster a positive learning environment, encouraging the children to achieve their best. The compassionate and experienced staff is committed to improving student learning. The school has 3.9 equivalent full time staff: 1.0 Principal class, 2.3 teachers and 0.6 Educational Support staff.
