Sanctuary Point Public School has approximately 450 students including those in our four support classes and about 60 Aboriginal students. The school has been serving the community of Sanctuary Point since 1976. Our school offers students a comprehensive curriculum and a wide range of opportunities for each individual student to excel. In 2011, the school embarks on a four-year program of school improvement as part of the Low SES National Partnership project entitled a 'New Beginning'. Throughout the program the school will focus on: * Improving student achievement in both literacy and numeracy * Enhancing the skills and quality of all staff * Providing for gifted and talented students within the school and the surrounding schools * Developing greater partnerships with our Aboriginal and local community.
