Morisset Public School is in the Lake Macquarie area of NSW. The school services a low socio- economic area and from 2011 to 2014 will be participating in the Low SES National Partnership. It has also been named as a Centre for Excellence. The Special Education Centre at the University of Newcastle recognises Morisset PS as a model for best practice in the inclusion of students with disabilities and the school has also been recognised as a model school for social emotional learning. The school is also recognised in the community for the opportunities the students have to participate in performing arts and sporting activities.
