Healy State School supports every individual in a dynamic literacy, numeracy and technology based classroom. Healy children are challenged to fulfil their potential, improving every day in the important areas of learning and growing. We value honesty, giving and getting a fair go, reliability, caring for others and respect and we practise these values every day as part of our school culture. Our academic achievements include 100% of our Yr 3 students being at or above the National Mean standard for Numeracy. Our Sporting and games facilities are superb with children able to play soccer, touch, table tennis and many other sports at school and join in all District sports such as rugby league, athletics, swimming and cricket. We involve ourselves in many community activities including Rock Pop Mime, Show Display, Anzac Dawn Service and Mt Isa Rodeo week. We were the last state primary school to be built in Mt Isa and we feature an ultra modern design with small class sizes, large classrooms and generous teacher aide support.
