Townview State School has been proudly serving the community of Mount Isa since 1965. Our motto is 'Together We Believe, We achieve, We succeed'. Our Prep to Year 7 curriculum is established using the essential learnings of the key learning areas including Japanese, and early intervention strategies. Our classroom-teaching programs are balanced and innovative but never lose sight of the foundations of English and Mathematics. We have a strong values program that is built around belonging, respect, communication and responsibility. Our school is active in the community, participating in Anzac Day, eisteddfod competitions (choir, small group and individual singing, together with instrumental music), Rock Pop Mime and local sporting competitions. The value of the parental role in education is well-recognised at Townview. Parents are encouraged to become actively involved in the school, with our Parents and Citizens Association fostering cohesion within the school community and providing the advice and additional resources critical to our success.
