Milman State School is a small, two teacher school approximately thirty-eight kilometres north of Rockhampton. We provide free public education for all students from Prep to Year 7. Parents only have to provide their children with a school uniform. In 2013, we celebrate 100 years of providing an educational service to the children of Milman. Our school Parents and Citizens are looking to make it a year to celebrate. School enrolment in 1913 was fourteen. Today's enrolment stands at thirty-two. We start the day with a two hour literacy and numeracy block where the focus is on the basics. The pupils are expected to take responsibility for their learning. Each term we conduct excursions to reward students who have worked to the best of their ability and have acted responsibly. Our school motto is 'Strive for Success.'
