The College 7 - 12 program places great value on lifelong and challenging learning through continuity, stability and access to opportunity on a safe and secure campus. The college is organised into Learning Teams by year level with high expectations of all learners through purposeful and effective teaching. The school has 71.2 equivalent full time staff, including 3 Principal Class, 51.2 Full time Equivalent Clasroom Teachers and 17 Education Support Class personnel. The Years 7 - 9 curriculum emphasises challenge and engagement in the Middle Years. In particular, Year 7 and 8 build on the fundamental skills of literacy and numeracy and the use of e-learning across all studies. Innovations in the Year 7 and 8 curricula focus on an integrated curriculum planning approach and a specialist music enrichment group.Year 9 students focus on independent learning with the students’ first opportunity to select their studies to develop their talents. To maintain and build student engagement the college has developed a Journeys program where students explore focus questions around a theme. At Year 10 students are encouraged to be goal oriented to prepare them for senior school. The Years 10 - 12 curriculum offers diverse pathways to academic and vocational success. During Year 10 students have the opportunity to enter VCE studies. Year 11 and 12 study options are VCE, VET and VCAL. Our students achieve success in these academic tertiary and vocational pathways.
