Yahl Primary School offers a broad curriculum in a picturesque country setting, only 10 minutes from Mount Gambier. Yahl is a small rural school with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy. Science and the arts are also high-profile curriculum areas. Our school is an important part of a rapidly-developing community. It has links with the local playgroup and Progress Association, with students participating in the local Christmas party. The school holds an annual Christmas concert at the Sir Robert Helpmann theatre where classes perform to a packed house each year. We have a strong sporting culture with students participating in local school competitions in a variety of sports. Enterprise Education is also a school focus and students participate in a local Youthworx Competition on alternate years. Each class is involved in enterprise projects that culminate in the Spring fair. The school has the services of a Christian pastoral support worker who works with the school to promote the well-being of the staff and students.
