Newbery Park Primary School prides itself on providing a strong learner centred focus on excellence and wellbeing. Provision is made through innovative and proactive intervention programs, music opportunities ranging from choir through to rock bands, eco-learning, gardening and PE. Our school staff have a strong commitment to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes and to use a range of learning technologies across all curriculum areas. The literacy focus on reading and writing, the numeracy focus is through the 'Big Ideas in Number' program and the science focus incorporates the 'primary connections documents'. Our school has an ethos of 'big kids help little kids' resulting in a culture of service and support evident in peer mentors, cross-age tutoring and community support programs.
