Cummins Area School, located 63km north of Port Lincoln on Eyre Peninsula, works to build a supportive learning community that assists all students to achieve their potential with the skills, values and confidence they need to make a positive contribution to our society. The school's values are respect, responsibility, cooperation and doing our best. The school provides care and education to the rural community of Cummins and its surrounding district from birth to Year 12 . Our agriculture education includes aquaculture and vegetable, sheep, and intensive beef cattle production as well as cereal cropping. Special facilities include a number of interactive whiteboards and other hi-tech learning tools. Science is taught as a specialist subject in years R-7. Programs are tailored to individual students' needs and include a broad range of subject choices, including university pathways, vocational education and training (VET) options, and school-based apprenticeships or traineeships. The school has extensive grassed areas and hard-surfaced areas. Parent participation is extensive, through involvement in numerous school committees and assisting in classes, sport, excursions and camps.
