St Pius Catholic Primary School, Banyo, situated 14kms north east of the Brisbane CBD is a co-educational school established in the tradition of Saint Mary Mackillop. Due to local demand we again have two prep classes for 2011, increasing our enrolment to nearly 200. The size of our school allows for very close, meaningful relationships. All students and teachers have ready access to a range of technologies, with wireless computer networking being available throughout the school. Our facilities include a pool, multi-purpose hall, tennis courts, netball courts and oval. The school is set in spacious gardened surrounds. A new library/multimedia centre was completed 2010 providing additional indoor and outdoor learning spaces. Provision of and access to technology is now an even greater focus with the P&F supporting the installation of Interactive White Boards in classrooms. We strongly believe that all learners are capable and can succeed, and this shapes our teaching and learning practices.
