Benalla West Primary School promotes respect, social responsibility, resilience, and high expectations to prepare our students to become lifelong learners. Through a happy, safe and caring environment where high expectations are taught the students develop social and emotional wellbeing and a love of learning. Benalla West is chosen by parents because it is the smallest of three State Primary Schools in Benalla. Staff, parents and students enjoy the friendly and supportive school atmosphere. Parents are warmly welcomed into our school to join in a variety of challenging and enjoyable activities. Benalla West aims to improve the whole educational experience for students with special emphasis on literacy and numeracy. The social and emotional development of the student is also explicitly taught. Our students have high expectations in all of their learning and want to achieve at their optimum performance. Over the past 12 months our students have performed at or above the state mean in all areas. Students take pride in their learning and want to achieve. The most important ingredient that is evident at Benalla West is that students are all on a learning journey and they are having fun, on the journey.
