At George St we provide a safe and happy environment where each child can learn effective skills, attitudes and values that will enable them to become independent and responsible thinkers making worthwhile and effective contributions to their community and beyond. We value Organisation, Persistence, Resilience, Getting Along and Confidence. Our school believes in and implements the Restorative Practices Philosophy. This approach teaches students to understand and respect relationships, to take responsibility for their behaviour and understand the consequences that arise from inappropriate choices. Our school provides high quality programs that lead to improved student outcomes and student engagement. We implement a comprehensive curriculum, our main focus being Literacy and Numeracy. Information and Communication Technologies are a feature of our school and part of everyday learning. Our school provides programs which cater for a wide range of student needs and abilities. Our school is located on the eastern side of Hamilton providing a local setting for the children in the neighbourhood. The School Council, staff, parents , community helpers and volunteers all work together to provide learning experiences and opportunities for our 54 students.
