Martins Creek Public School is a small school located in the Paterson River Valley in the Hunter Region of NSW. Parents and the local community offer strong support for the school making it an important focus in the community. The school's aim is to provide a happy, caring and supportive learning environment where students gain the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to be successful members of the community. Martins Creek Public School has a strong emphasis on literacy, numeracy, technology and performing arts with weekly specialist instruction in technology, music and dance. The school takes part in combined small schools sports carnivals and offers intensive swimming, gymnastics and tennis programs. Our program has a strong environmental focus. Students plant their own vegetables and tend the school chickens. Students also enjoy frequent interaction with other local schools and excursions to various locations within and outside the Hunter Region.
