St Joseph's Parish Primary School began in 1890 when Blessed Mary MacKillop, with four Sisters of St Joseph, commenced Catholic education in Numurkah. Our school was notably the first Victorian school that she established. There have been many changes to our school since then, however St Joseph's continues to reflect the pioneering spirit of Mary MacKillop and the Josephite Sisters in everything we do. As she put it, we 'Never See A Need Without Doing Something About It'. Our school currently boasts an outstanding facility and resources that provide our staff and students with the best possible teaching and learning environment. We focus on providing a safe, happy and secure place to live and learn in. We implement a broad range of curriculum experiences with strong numeracy and literacy programs, as well as specialist music, art, physical education, Italian and library which provide further interest and challenge for all. We ask each of our children to 'Have A Go and Do Your Best' in all we do.
