Wallan Primary School has served the community for over 150 years and caters for families in the low to mid socio-economic profile. It aims to provide a safe and positive learning environment in which all learners strive for their personal best and experience a sense of achievement. In our school community students, families and staff demonstrate acceptance and connectedness. The school's motto of "Working Together for a Better Future" sums up our values of getting along, organisation, persistence, confidence and resilience. Wallan PS provides a comprehensive curriculum with Literacy and Numeracy being the key focus. Over the past 4 years the school has won Region, State and National awards for school improvement and leadership. With 600 students, the school operates 26 classrooms. Wallan has excellent camping and sporting programs and students participate in inter-school sport. The students produce outstanding artwork and enjoy learning Indonesian. Student leadership is strong with the school captains having a high profile at all school events and assemblies. The school has undergone building and grounds refurbishment including a 21st century library learning complex.
