Mt Duneed Regional Primary School is a rural school located on top of Mount Duneed, overlooking the countryside between Geelong and Torquay. Our school offers our 153 students an attractive and safe environment where students are stimulated, supported, engaged and challenged to reach their full potential. Our site has extensive grounds, developmental play spaces and modern ICT facilities. Currently we have one Literacy Coach, seven full time class teachers, one Reading Recovery teacher and also two specialist teachers teaching Italian and Art. Also at Mount Duneed we have seven Educational Support Staff, a Maintenance Officer and an I.T. Technician visiting 3.4 hours per week. Our school has a reputation for strong academic achievement in Numeracy and Literacy and we also provide quality learning programs in all other curriculum areas. Our teachers work in teams to provide personalised learning to best meet the specific needs of students. We have a strong commitment to constructing a true learning community, with an emphasis placed on creating an inclusive and collaborative ethos that embraces academic, social, cultural and physical pursuits. Our school has a broad curriculum, designed to engage students in a way which promotes excellence and builds self esteem. Our school’s strategic goals to improve Literacy and Numeracy through a personalised learning approach have had a profound impact on our students' achievements.
