Newcomb Park Primary School offers its students an attractive, safe and stimulating learning environment. The caring and dedicated staff, together with the coach plan and work in a cooperative and reflective manner to continuously improve the quality of the teaching and learning. We are committed to the continuous improvement of all students, focusing strongly on the teaching and learning of Literacy and Numeracy. We offer a differentiated program that caters for the individual needs of our students to best support them in reaching their maximum learning potential. Students are engaged in their own learning by developing individual goals. With the opening of the new building for the P-4 classes in 2011, together with the new learning space for the senior groups, we offer small class sizes with flexible, open learning areas that are all very well resourced and enhanced with interactive whiteboards. There are 11 equivalent full time staff, 1 principal class, 8 teachers, 1 learning coach, 5 Education Support Staff. The emotional and social well being of the students is well catered for and supported by the social worker working with and supporting students and families. We welcome the support and partnership of our parents. We have a daily breakfast program, a friendship stop and a multi - age values program. Specialist classes are Visual Arts, PE, Library/ Information Technology, Bluearth and SongRoom. Jump Start Into Newcomb Park was introduced in 2011. We pride ourselves on having a 21st century outlook in the delivery of our curriculum.
