Wandong Primary School is a semi rural school, located approximately 60 kilometres north of Melbourne. Our student population continues to increase steadily, with 262 students enrolled in 2010. Most of our students live in the towns of Wandong and Heathcote Junction, however we also attact students from a wider area encompassing Clonbinane, Kilmore, Hidden Valley and Wallan. One principal, fifteen teachers including a leading teacher, one full time business manager and five part time education support staff assist in ensuring our school runs smoothly. Our school values - "Respect", "Responsibility", "Care", "Honesty", "Friendship" and "Doing your best" are the foundation stones of our school and we use these to guide our students both in their learning and in their interactions with others and their environment. The school has recently undergone a major refurbishment with the revamping of the adminstation area, the arrival of two brand new modular double classrooms and the building of a new multipurpose facilty. Our new facility is divided into three sections - a canteen and foyer, a hall and a Library/Science room. Our students and staff are delighted with the final product as it allows for flexibility in the programs we present as well as doubling up as an indoor area that will hold our entire school for assemblies and special events.
