Manor Lakes P-12 College opened in 2009 and is located in Wyndham Vale. It is being developed for a long-term enrolment of 1,800 students from years Prep to 12, this will include students with disabilities. An Alliance model has been developed between the support centre and the regular school to ensure an inclusive model of schooling for our PSD students. The school is now in its third year and currently has 1132 students from Prep - 9. All buildings are on the one site, with approximately half of the planned buildings being completed by the end of 2010. The science, gym, P - 9 administration and senior school buildings are being built in 2011 and are expected to be completed mid year. This will provide greater facilities for curriculum provision and student learning. There is a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy. The College has worked with the community to develop strong relationships and a contemporary culture of learning. Staff have been supported in their transitioning into the college environment. Processes are constantly being implemented and reviewed to ensure a seamless approach to student learning and wellbeing is delivered. There has been an emphasis on establishing a positive learning environment. Our staff profile for 2010 consisted of a Principal, 4 Assistant Principals, 8 Leading Teachers, 50.28 teachers and 21.70 educational support staff. The school has experienced rapid student population growth. An enrolment ceiling has now been established.
