St. Andrews Primary School serves a local community on the fringe of the metropolitan area. It is an attractive and functional school where a relaxed but professional team environment prevails and where students are highly engaged and stimulated. The school’s mission and values statements point to enhancing students’ personal development, to providing opportunities for lifelong learning and the development of life skills such as responsibility, communication and independence, and developing students’ respect and acceptance of self and others. We are an innovative school where creative teaching approaches using an Integrated Inquiry based curriculum is aligned with the VELS. Computers are integrated into the classroom program, with each teaching and learning area having a network of computers available. There is a strong tradition of school artistic presentations through music and fine arts with an emphasis on maximum student participation.
