Warracknabeal Primary School is a rural school of 190 students with an open and friendly atmosphere. Our school is a member of the Wimmera East Network in the Grampians Region. The school has 12.6 EFT (Equivalent Full Time) staff members comprising 1.0 EFT Principal, 1.0 EFT Assistant Principal, 9.0 EFT teachers, 1.0 EFT Office Manager and 0.6 EFT Education Support staff. During 2010 we undertook a major self-assessment and review to provide us with relevant information for the development of our 2011 - 2014 Strategic Plan. This was supported by a School Improvement Program to help ensure our priorities, goals and targets were appropriate and were aligned with current Government initiatives and expectations. Our school focus has been on literacy and numeracy and our new Strategic Plan will reflect this focus. Staff continue to strive for excellence through extensive planning, clear communication and dedicated program delivery. We offer a range of programs in all curriculum areas with a particular emphasis on planning for individual needs and the integration of learning technologies. We aim to meet the needs of all students and provide them with a quality and rewarding educational program regardless of their background or achievement levels. We have considerable parent involvement and support to assist the school achieve our goals. We aim to develop a belief that all students can contribute as successful and responsible members of our school and wider communities.
