Pembroke Primary School is a small school on the Eastern fringes of Melbourne comprising of 5 teachers,Principal and 5 part time support staff. We challenge our students to excel, immersing them in their learning and providing a country school environment within the city. We foster citizenship, personal responsibility and a belief that we can all “make a difference”. Learning occurs not only in our classrooms but also in specialised areas such as a Science, Woodwork and Music room. Our extensive grounds provide large outside spaces such as a Vegie garden, oval, basketball courts and Butterfly Park providing students with rich hands-on learning opportunities . Our purpose built Junior School also enables learning to occur by identifying individualised needs and priorities and creating an environment where children are challenged and expectations are high. Pembroke has strong links with the community working with the local Church to provide a range of wellbeing programs and Chaplaincy services. We participate in events such as the Celebrate Mooroolbark festival, Lilydale Show and Community Carols providing an opportunity for our students’ musical, artistic, written and performing skills to be on show. At Pembroke Primary School each child is at the centre of all we do and given our size every teacher is able to take support the wellbeing/ learning of every child.
