Wodonga Primary School is the largest primary provider in the growth city of Wodonga. The school is one of 4 large State Government primary schools within the township and is located adjacent to the Wodonga Middle Years College. Our school aims to provide a culture of excellence and personal learning to our 670 students. We have 34 teaching staff and 3 Principal class. Ensuring that all students have a positive identity within our school is a high priority and at the core of our educational decisions. Students are expected to strive for their personal best in all that they do and to set goals towards achievement. Excellence is promoted in all areas of the curriculum and is celebrated as a whole school. Wodonga Primary School continues to track student achievement with every child's progress monitored regularly with extra supports or challenges implemented as required. Our school values are an essential part of the school culture with students demonstrating their commitment to the values in a range of different contexts. Classes are structured into year level groups with teachers working together to develop curriculum appropriate to the needs of the students and linked to the Victorian Essential Learnings. Literacy and Numeracy are our core foundations. Year Level groups develop common Units of Inquiry bring together the range of curriculum expectations. Specialist areas in Art, Music, Physical Education and LOTE (Japanese) provide a range of opportunities for students to both participate and excel. These areas create strong links to our local community.
