Wodonga South Primary School had an enrolment of 473 students on Census Day 2010. The school is currently situated in the growth corridor on the southern side of the City of Wodonga but is preparing to be relocated to a new site on Whitebox Rise Estate, Wodonga at the end of Term 1, 2011. The new facility has been developed in partnership with the City of Wodonga Council and will incorporate preschool, childcare, Maternal health services and the primary school. A major priority for staff development during 2010 has been the preparation of skills to meet the opportunities and challenges of working in a collaborative environment with a focus on the provision of 21st Century Education in the new Learning Community. During 2010, the school comprised 20 classes, all being multi-age except the Prep year which were four straight classes to support the transition from preschool. Classroom programs were supported by specialist teachers in the areas of Music, Visual Arts, Sport and PE, Languages Other Than English (Indonesian) and Reading Recovery. Wodonga South Primary School has 28.2 equivalent full-time teaching staff: 3 Principal Class, 25.2 teachers and 9.2 Education Support Staff.
