Meadowglen Primary School is situated in Epping, in Melbourne's northern outer fringe. Currently we have a stable student population of around 600. Our vision is for children to become thinkers, life-long learners and valuable members of society. We achieve this by providing a quality education that develops the whole child, in a learning environment that is caring, safe, supportive and stimulating. Our school is made up of straight grades where the emphasis is on English, Mathematics and student well-being. Enrichment and support programs from Prep to Year 6 further assist us in meeting individual student needs. We have a reputation for high expectations and standards and student achievement in English and Mathematics generally meet state expectations. Student engagement is enhanced through a variety of specially designed programs such as physical education, performing and visual arts and science. An optional two year Prep program is offered to students who would benefit from more time to develop learning readiness. Senior students are involved in local community service projects under the guidance of a full-time welfare officer and chaplain who also provide added support and pastoral care to students and their families.
