At Mildura South we are committed to our students, providing them with challenging learning experiences which develop confidence, encourage personal excellence and success. Our priorities are literacy and numeracy and providing every opportunity for students to achieve continuous improvement. We have a commitment to the development and integration of information and communication technologies across the curriculum to further provide our students with a high quality innovative learning program. We are totally committed to the implementation of the Ultranet throughout the school. This year every Year 5 and 6 student had access to their own Netbook. In 2011 this will extend to all Year 4 students. Our staff consists of a Principal, 2 Assistant Principals, 28 classroom teachers, 4 specialist teachers, 2 Reading Recovery teachers, 4 teaching and program support teachers, 7 Education Support Officers, a part time student welfare officer and a part time Psychologist. We also have a full time IT technician and library technician. Our school is well resourced so we are able to implement strategies to address the needs of all students, including those with special needs and special abilities. There is a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe, secure, welcoming and stimulating environment which encourages successful learning. Parent support, dedicated staff and positive students ensures excellence in education.
