St Bernard's is a Catholic school catering to children from Prep through to Year 6. Developmental learning strategies, based on identifying students' individual learning needs are employed. Our teachers use collegial time to reflect upon, explore and plan for students' learning needs. There is a strong emphasis on the development of the emotional learning that contributes to learners' resilience, positive relationships and learning skills. Skills and values for social living are an essential and integral aspect of the curriculum and work of all staff. We have a well-planned curriculum, camp program and also offer private music lessons. Our school improvement plan priorities are Numeracy and Pedagogy for Engagement, with agreement that achievement of targets is the shared responsibility of all. The school recognises the dynamic nature of education and continues to strive to improve its curriculum, facilities and resources in order to ensure the programs being offered equip our children with the essential skills, attitudes and abilities required to meet the challenges of our ever changing society.
