Two Rocks is a beautiful coastal community overlooking the Indian Ocean, 61 kilometres north of Perth. The current population is approximately 3,000, with future development planned for the area. The school, which opened in 2007, overlooks the town taking advantage of the panoramic ocean views. Two Rocks, a K-7 primary school, has a strong IT focus providing information to staff and students via a school intranet and to the community via a web page. Student learning is enhanced with the use of a computer lab, interactive whiteboards and a bank of computers in each classroom. The staff at Two Rocks Primary School are committed to the health and wellbeing of all students and implement programs including: Program Achieve, to foster resilience and getting along; the 'Crunch and Sip' program, which encourages healthy eating; and various physical activity programs to encourage general health and fitness. The school is also part of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation and has programs in place which, as this initiative grows, will allow students to plant, grow, harvest, prepare and eat their produce. The school also offers extra curricula programs such as keyboard and guitar lessons, an active after school community program, an after school drama program and choir. Two Rocks PS is supported by a small but dedicated group of parents who participate in the School Council and the Parents and Citizens' Association and assist in classrooms, on excursions and in the canteen.
