Geographe Primary School is situated in Busselton, 200 kms south of Perth. Busselton is a rural seaside town and is the gateway to the Margaret River wine region. It is a popular holiday destination, with beautiful beaches and coastline bordering an expansive wine-growing hinterland. The school opened in 2002 and currently has 650 students from Kindergarten to year 7. It is experiencing steady growth in student numbers. Geographe Primary is renowned for its acclaimed school-wide pedagogy which has four cornerstones: Cooperative Learning, The Brain and Thinking Skills, Information Technologies and Social and Emotional Development. It has a strong emphasis on values as the basis for teaching, learning and behaviour. Specialist subjects offered are music, visual arts, library, physical education and Indonesian language.
