Beechboro Christian School is a Christian (non-denominational), co-educational primary school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year Seven. Whilst the school holds to Christian values it is open to all sections of the community. The school was established in 1988 and has developed a reputation as being an educational community that is nurturing of each student, and focussed on each student as an individual. Parental involvement is strongly encouraged in the school as this is seen as an important factor in shaping positive attitudes towards education. The focus on the individual is reflected in the school's emphasis of such areas as the Arts (Music, Dance, Drama, Languages, Visual Art, Speaking and Writing) whilst still maintaining a focus on the areas of Maths, Science and Sport. This approach allows the individual to celebrate his or her own strengths and enjoy the confidence and satisfaction that accompanies this. Students are also encouraged to look beyond the school boundaries by being involved in both Environmental and Community Service activities. The school is going through an exciting developmental phase at present as it 'rebuilds' itself by replacing the current buildings with new ones, a project that should be completed by the end of Term One, 2010.
