Tambrey Primary School is located in the town of Karratha situated 1700 kilometres north of Perth in the Pilbara District. The school caters for students from K-7 with the current enrolment in excess of 430 students. A proportion of the school's population are from other states or overseas. The Indigenous population represents approximately 15 % (50-60 students) of the total population. Tambrey PS is built upon collaboration, open communication and supportive relationships. We encourage every person in our school community to get involved with our students in their learning. Parents have high expectations of the school in terms of the provision of quality educational experiences for their child/ren. The school staff are a blend of experienced and graduate teachers. The experience and retention of teaching staff often impacts on the school's capacity to delivery of quality targeted learning programs across all classrooms. The school is focused on providing students with quality learning programs in the areas of literacy, numeracy and science. The completion of the computer lab will assist teachers to integrate Information Technologies across the curriculum.
