UPPS is situated in the City of Brimbank, 20 kilometres west of Melbourne. We are a small school with just under 200 students, staffed by Principal, Assistant Principal, 10 grade Teachers, 4 Specialists and 6 Education Support Staff. At UPPS we pride ourselves on being a school of excellence, where students can achieve their full potential across a broad range of key learning areas. At UPPS we take a whole school approach to the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy, differentiating within the curriculum to meet the individual needs of our students. Our teachers work with WMR and school based Literacy and Numeracy coaches to share knowledge and best practice pedagogy. The school's motto of 'Learning Together-Achieving Success' is reflected in our team approach to teaching and learning. The school prides itself on its many characteristic features such as small class sizes, performing and visual arts programs, science lab, interschool sports, environmental program and Extend OSHCP. UPPS has forged a strong working relationship with VUT St Albans. This partnership benefits our students and staff by providing additional support for existing programs. At University Park Primary School we work as a team with our parents in a mutual partnership underpinned by high expectations, which considers the individual, academic, emotional and social needs of the child.
