Concongella Primary School is a small rural school 5 kilometres east of the City of Stawell. We have a current enrolment of 29 students who are drawn from the local community / farms and nearby Stawell. Staffing currently comprises a Principal and three teaching staff who accrue a 2.1 time fraction between them. We also have two education support staff, a Business Manager and Teacher Aide, with a combined time fraction of 1.0. The school improvement focus has been on literacy over recent years and we are now altering our focus to encompass numeracy to align with the Regional focus. All students work within their own Individual Learning Plans and teaching programs are targeted to the point of need for all students. We have very low staff/student ratios and pride ourselves on our ICT rich classrooms. Concongella Primary School is a part of the Grampians Small Schools Cluster which includes Halls Gap, Great Western and Pomonal Primary Schools. Concongella Primary School sees its core purpose as developing in its students knowledge, skills, values and attributes that will enable them to become productive contributors to their local community and society in general. The school values its welcoming family atmosphere of caring, sharing and helping one another at all times. The school promotes maximum participation of students in all areas of the curriculum. Active school groups such as the Junior School Council and Parent's Association ensure a dynamic and diverse range of activities with the students at the forefront of the learning experiences.
